親愛的親友平安，

聖誕節快到了，每當我們慶祝這日子時都想到“神愛世人，甚至賜下他的獨生子，好讓所有信他的人不至於滅亡，反得永恆的生命。”(約翰福音 3:16)

2016年即將結束，回顧過去一年的恩典，我們對2017年的來臨充滿了盼望。今年的上半年曾面對一些挑戰，域式傳道在聖經學院畢業便離職，幼稚園老師也有變動。但天父是信實的，幫助我們解決問題並給我們成長的機會。“神阿、我曾求告你、因為你必應允我．求你向我側耳、聽我的言語。” (詩篇17:6)

12月10日星期六在教會舉行了第一個婚禮。幼稚園的行政色妮布(Srey Pov)姊妹跟溫拿勒(Vanarath)弟兄結婚。很多親友來參加這個婚禮，願主祝福這對新人。第二天星期日有兩母女來參加教會崇拜，願她們在主的話語中成長。

感恩事項：

• 這年有好的身體，主賜下健康力量來事奉祂。
• 今年有兩位大學生入住女生宿舍。
• 女童色妮力(Srey Neat)今年13歲，是住在貧民區的主日學生。四個多月前患病，不能呼吸，手和腳都不能動。現在可以把手舉起和腳可移動少許，但仍需用氧氣機幫助呼吸。
• 森能(Samnang)是個四個月大的男嬰，出生時患有唇裂和腭裂。兩星期前已經做了唇裂手術，飲奶時可用普通奶咀。腭裂手術可能要等他長到十個月或一歲時才可進行。
• 新光幼稚園在鄰居有好名聲，他們說“耶穌學校”好。十二月有差不多六十位小朋友而托兒所有四十多位幼兒。
• 約瑟在金邊聖經學院教一年級“靈命進深”Christian Spiritual Development，有十三位同學。今年是第二次教，原來教學相長，在課材方面比去年有更深了解。

禱告事項：

• 在教會註冊的過程中，教會物業企名人和教會註冊的領袖要去區長面前簽名並由他打印證明在區內已註冊，然後再提交這文件去宗教局申請註冊。教會的註冊因明年柬埔寨的普選而在進度上有影響，因為區長要外出在選民登記和其他事務常不在辦公室。請記念。
• 教會需要全時間牧者一名，願主帶領有呼召的傳道來作教會的領袖。
• 教會聖誕慶祝在二十五日的主日崇拜中舉行。請記念預備的過程，邀請鄰居和親友參加代禱。
• 青年團會在明年一月改在星期日下午三時舉行。請記念帶領這事工的愛心姊妹，讓這團契能牧養年青的一代。
• 今年男生宿舍因不同的困難關閉，主若願意，教會計劃再開展男大學生宿舍的事工。

Dear friends and family,

Christmas is coming around the corner. As we celebrate together with our loved ones let us not forget that Christ is the real reason for the season. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

The year of 2016 will come to an end soon. There are so much we reflect on the grace of God in our lives and the hope we have in 2017. The first part of 2016 was rather challenging for us but with God’s help we could resolve the issues one by one. God is always faithful to help when we cry out to Him. “I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.” (Psalm 17:6)

On December 10th, there was the first wedding in our church. Srey Pov, the administrator of our kindergarten married Vanarath who is the brother of Udom, a part time worker of our church. It was a beautiful Christian wedding. Many visitors attended the wedding. On Sunday, the next day, a mother and daughter attended our church. Please pray that their faith will build on the word of God.

Please continue to lift our praise and prayer items to God. Thank you!

Praise Items:

• The strength and health for us to serve Him.
• There are two new university students in our lady’s dorm.
• Srey Neat, a thirteen years old girl attended our Sunday school before. She lives in squatters’ area in our church neighborhood. When she got sick four months ago, she could not breathe by herself and could not move her arms and legs. Now she can move her hands and her leg a little bit.
• Samnang, a four-month-old baby boy, has cleft lips and palate. Two weeks ago, the doctor has sewed up the lips and he can drink from milk bottle normally. He looks beautiful now. As for the cleft palate, he should wait till he is bigger, perhaps 1 year old.
• The Sonlight Kindergarten has good reputation in our community. Some of the neighbors’ comment on us saying that the “‘Jesus’ school is good.” This month we have close to 60 children and over 40 toddlers.
• Joseph enjoys teaching “Christian Spiritual Development” at the Phnom Penh Bible School. His class has 13 students.

Prayer Items:

• We are still working on the church registration. There will be election in Cambodia next year. One of the procedures is to have the Sangkat (district) chief signing papers with the ones who signed legal paper of the property of our building, but he is busy with registration of voters and not at the office.
• Provision of a full-time pastor in God’s timing. Pray that the Lord will lead a person with a clear call to ministry.
• Youth fellowship will be changed to Sunday afternoon at 3 pm starting January 2017. Pray that our young people’s Christmas celebration may be a good time to reach out to young people. Please remember Ai Xin who is the leader of this project.
• Our church will celebrate Christmas on December 25. Pray for the preparation and promotion of the programs.
• College student dorm for men is closed this year. Pray that we can reopen the dorm in the future.

我們在主耶穌的名中向您們問安。柬埔寨的亡人節剛過去，這節期是從9月18日至10月2日，共15天。柬埔寨人在這日子中要拿食物去至少七間廟供奉和尚，他們相信祖先的亡魂會因而在陰間得到供奉。「此等不信之人被這世界的神弄瞎了心眼」（林後4：4）。請記念他們的心眼能被耶穌的真光照明和打開，從迷信的文化和習俗中出來並接受真道。在這節期中，信徒和教會領袖回鄉探親時都受不同程度的壓力，向這習俗低頭。請記念他們能在壓力中成長和成為福音的真光，

請與我們一同讚美和祈求祂。謝謝！

讚美事項：

• 亡人節中回鄉探親的人多，車來人往，天父保守了會友們在回鄉路程上平安渡過。
• 7月底有機會跟母會的會友同去聖地，這旅程叫我們更能體會天父話語的實在和寶貴。祂的救贖計劃是從永遠到永遠的。
• 在這節期中，有我們差會的一位宣教士來探我們。我們有交通、分享經文和禱告，像一個小型退修會。我們會加多與教會會友查考聖經。
• 幼稚園的小朋友們已增至40多位而托兒所有35位幼兒，因此學校可以自負盈虧。

禱告事項：

• 10月17至23日有短宣隊從香港來，請記念我們的合作事奉能榮耀天父。
• 婚前輔導有四人參加，一對打算在12月結婚，另一對是已婚兩年多但從未接受過輔導的。願主祝福他們能在夫婦關係上建立蒙福的家庭。
• 教會漏水需要維修，請記念能盡快找到漏水原因。
• 大兒子思義携同兒媳小鳳，兩位孫兒同去新西蘭參加<父親的心腸>（Father’s heart）的研習班三個月。記念他們二人在學習中成長，在家中實踐天父的愛和心思意念。
• 幼稚園需要一位全時間英文老師，求主為我們預備一位對幼兒教育有經驗的老師。
• 活石堂仍未有全時間傳道，求主帶領我們能尋找一位合祂心意的傳道。
• 約瑟在10月底再開始在金邊聖經學院教一科目，求聖靈在學生和老師中作引導帶領。
• 為女大學生宿舍在2016-17學年有入讀大學第一年的新生入住宿舍禱告。

多謝您們常在禱告中與我們同工和支持我們。如有禱告事項，敬請告知，我們可以在禱告中彼此記念。

Dear friends and family,

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. In Cambodia we just celebrated Pchum Ben festival; it lasts for 15 days from September 18th to October 2nd. The Cambodians believe that during this time the spirits of their ancestors are released to look for food in this human world. So they go to at least 7 temples to offer food to the monks so that their ancestors can be filled. It seems nonsense to us but they are blinded. “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Let us pray that the Cambodians will open their minds that they will turn to trust the Creator God who is the only true God who can hear and watch over them. They will be free from the bondage of their culture and custom which are used by Satan to bind them in darkness. Also pray for the Christians especially for the leaders that they will be light to this dark world. Because of idolatry which make them unfaithful to God and then causes adultery among them.

Please continue to give thanks to God and pray for us, thank you.

Praise items:

• We went to the Holy Land with the members of our mother’s church at the end of July. It makes more sense to us when we read God’s word. Also we see how God’s promises have been fulfilled so we can trust His word more.
• During the holiday another missionary from our mission came to visit us. We read God’s word together and she prayed for us. We are encouraged to start more Bible classes to teach our members.
• We have more children at our school, 40 plus students and about 35 toddlers at our nursery.

Prayer items:

• There will be a short term mission team from Hong Kong on October 17 to 23. Please pray that we will work together to bring glory to God.
• Pray for the premarital study for 2 couples and other new Bible studies that the members’ lives will be changed through His word.
• Pray for wisdom for worker who looks for problem why one of the rooms is leaking water at church.
• Simeon, our oldest son and family are now in a remote island in New Zealand attending the Father’s heart Seminar. Please pray that they learn more about God’s heart.
• We are still looking for a full time English teacher at our school.
• Joseph will teach again at Phnom Penh Bible School at the end of this month. Please pray that the Holy Spirit works among the teacher and students.
• Pray that God will bring a right person at the right time to come serve as the pastor in charge at our church.

親愛的親友，主內兄姊們：

主內平安！想與你們分享最近聽到的講道信息；詩篇63篇是大衛在猶大曠野的時候寫的，他說：「我渴想祢，我的心切慕祢，因你的慈愛比生命更好，我的嘴唇要頌讚你。」（1及3節）有時我們也像大衞一樣遇上困難、孤單、灰心，但我們要在這時刻尋求神，開口讚美祂。

上個月看見天父在我們鄰居施行醫治的神蹟。上封代禱信中提到為一位患病的老人家祈禱，他有很多身體上的問題：血壓高、糖尿病、以前曾大量抽煙，加上喉嚨有問題等。他只能卧床休息又不能說話，他的太太帶他去越南求醫但沒好轉。有一天我們去探訪他，跟他傳福音，又為他祈禱。最初他不想接受耶穌為救主，但多次探望他之後，看見天父是聽禱告的主，因他慢慢好起來。感謝主，他最後願意接受耶穌進入他的生命。現在他可以行走短路程，講話及進食固體食物，主耶穌是世上最大的醫生！他的太太有子宮癌；她也曾去越南求醫，現在病情也能控制。她也願意接受耶穌為她的救主。最近探訪他們，她滿有喜樂，想借教會一些福音光碟在家中看。願主加添他們的信心，讓他們的兒孫們將來也能歸信基督。

非常多謝您們的祈禱和支持我們的工作。請繼續與我們一同感恩和祈求。

感恩事項：

• 約瑟於三至六月在金邊聖經學校教一年級下學期的<屬靈生命成長>課程。六月尾考試後便完成第一次在聖經學院中教學。感謝主賜下力量和智慧。
• 我們的女兒欣義在金邊一間非政府組織工作，是做社會企業幫助殘疾人。她早上上班，下午替兩個小朋友補習。
• 教會有漏水的情形，廁所漏水的部份已解決。至於下雨時漏水的問題，我們已做了一些工程，但還未能解決。

代禱事項：

• 有一位嬸嬸在幾星期前病重入院，現在情況好些，已回家休息。以前她曾患肺結核病，醫生懷疑是復發。
• 有短宣隊在六月尾來一星期，求主賜他們身體健康，一起同心事奉。
• 有一位弟兄曾受神學訓練，他已在福音機構事奉了十年，上月我們請他考慮來教會作傳道人。經過禱告等候，他與太太都看不到是天父的引證。但他仍每月來講道兩次，請為教會需要傳道同工禱告。
• 現在幼稚園和托兒所都多了小朋友，我們需要多一位英語老師。讓月甜可以多點時間去探訪學生的家庭。
• 約瑟會在十一月至明年三月在金邊聖經學校教一年級另一學期的<屬靈生命成長>課程。

Dear Friends and family,

Greetings from Cambodia! We would like to share a passage that we recently heard on Psalm 63. It was written by David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. David said his soul thirst and his flesh longs for God but he will still praise Him because His lovingkindness is better than life. Many times in our lives we experience hardship and isolation like David did, we need to praise Him with joyful lips.

This past month we witness the miracle of healing among our neighbors. In our last letter we asked to pray for an elderly man with many health problems: high blood pressure, diabetes, heavy smoking, a lump in his throat. He was bedridden and could not talk. His wife took him to Vietnam for treatment but it didn’t help him much. One day we visited him and shared with him about Christ and prayed for him. At first he didn’t want to receive Jesus but after a few visits he got better and received Jesus into his life. Now he can get up and walk a short distance, talk and eat solid food. Praise the Lord Jesus for He is the greatest physician on earth! His wife also suffers from ovarian cancer. She also went to Vietnam for treatment; now her cancer is under control. She also received Jesus as her Savior. Pray that this couple’s faith will grow and that their children and grandchildren will come to know Jesus as well!

Thank you so much for partnering with our ministry; your prayers and support place an important part in our work. Please continue to praise God and pray for us.

Praise items:

• Strength and wisdom from God for Joseph to finish teaching one semester at the Phnom Penh Bible School. He taught a course on “Spiritual Development” to the first year students.
• Lydia, our daughter got a job with another NGO that is doing social enterprises helping the disabled with jobs in the mornings, in the afternoons she tutors 2 boys from 2 different families.
• We seem to find out one of the problems of water leaking at our church building. The problem caused by one of the bathrooms is fixed. We still need to fix the problem of water leaking when it rains.

Prayer items:

• Please pray for a lady in our church who was very sick last week. She used to have TB before and it seems the bacteria has come back.
• There is a STM team from HK at the end of June. Pray for good health for them and unity to serve together.
• The man that we talked to about the possibility of working as a pastor in our church declined our offer. He and his wife do not think it’s time for him to work in a church yet. But he will still preach at our church 2 times a month.
• There are more new students and toddlers enrolled in our kindergarten and nursery. Please pray for another English teacher. And pray for outreach to the students’ families.
• For guidance and wisdom for Joseph to teach another semester at the Bible School in November.

親愛的親友，主內弟兄姊妹們：

「天使對婦女說：不要害怕！我知道你們是尋找那釘十字架的耶穌。他不在這裡，照他所說的，已經復活了。你們來看安放主的地方。」（馬太28：5–6）哈利路亞，主耶穌復活了！正如詩歌所寫，「因祂活着，我能面對明天；因祂活着，不再懼怕；我深知道，祂掌管明天；生命充滿了希望，只因祂活着。」

寫這代禱信時心中充滿着盼望、感恩及讚美。去年底我們經歷了一些困難，教會每兩年的註冊帶來一些問題，男同工的生命有問題；這些帶來困擾及憂慮。雖然看來問題未解決，但深知復活的主知道，祂會保守帶領，我們就能安然等候祂的工作！！

過去的星期天晚上我們參加每月一次的青年祈禱會，這個祈禱運動已維持十年了！那晚主席，講員及另兩位帶領祈禱的弟兄都提及歷代志下7：14節。講員是從印尼來的宣教士，他見證印尼的復興；到處都有7×24的祈禱聚會及祈禱塔。近來在首都耶加達有一華人血統的基督徒當任市長。以前從來沒有華人或基督徒當市長！他每早晨4：30就開始禱告。他為窮人建立大廈，鏟平了紅燈區，安排那些女性回鄉下，為她們預備工作。耶加達就變成一個充滿希望、光明的首都。這都是因他們能自卑、禱告、尋求神的面；轉離惡行，神必垂聽；赦免他們的罪，醫治他們的土地。青年人聽了很感動及扎心，他們都願意為自己及柬埔寨來呼求神，願意基督徒能復興。在校園、工作地方及家庭裏見證主。其實在柬埔寨也有一些基督徒在政府工作，但大多數沒有為主發光，願聖靈在他們心中作工！

多謝大家為我們及事奉禱告及支持！請繼續紀念我們。以下是我們的感恩及禱告事項：

感恩事項：

1. 有些青年基督徒為神的工作發熱心。
2. 在金邊及鄉村都有不同的禱告站，願主興起更多的守望者。
3. 教會附近有兩位長者信耶穌；一位伯伯病重，不能說話，但表示信主。願他們的信能帶領他們家人歸向神!

禱告事項：

1. 願神保守教會的註冊事情，能順利完成。
2. 最近接觸一位牧者，教會想請他作傳道。我們雙方面都正在祈禱，尋求神的心意。
3. 教會女同工及家人將會搬入新建的房子，願主保守女大學生及教會的安全。
4. 女兒欣義正尋找新的工作，求主為她預備。

親愛的主內兄姊，親友們：

「必有童女懷孕生子；人要稱他的名為以馬內利『神與我們同在』。」（太1：23）

2015年快過去，聖誕節又到了，這是我們慶祝耶穌出生的日子。祂來到世上為要賜世人永生的禮物。很可惜世人看聖誕節只是吃喝玩樂的節日。很多商店和賀咭都除去「聖誕」一詞，改為假期快樂，節日問候。

回顧2015年是我們教會–活石堂經歷困難的一年，但當中也經歷神的大能及奇妙的恩典。會友人數停滯、沒有多大增長，因為會友流動性高。特別是大學生，畢業便去了另一處工作，沒再返教會。但願在新的一年，神能更新我們，給我們新的突破。

至於新光幼稚園和托兒所，過去一年有舊學生因升上小學一年班而離開，但亦有新的小孩從鄰居來。感謝主！雖然近來鄰近多了三間國際學校，但我們的鄰居仍能信任我們，把他們的孩子送來讀書。今年老師、職員也有調動，但感恩是現在有同心及忠心的團隊。求天父繼續使用我們去帶領和將福音傳給學生及其家長。

感謝主，祂在八月賜下一位健康的男孩給大兒子思義及小鳳。他們教養兩位幼兒，面對喜樂及不同的挑戰。啟義及世敏、以信（五歲）及以恩（三歲）生活得很好。雖然加拿大面對世界原油油價大跌問題，但感恩啟義仍在石油公司上班，雖然薪金減了！女兒欣義仍在金邊工作，住在家裡，成為我們的喜樂！

多謝您們過去一年的關懷，代禱及在各方面的支持。

• 我們的差會 – 中華福音使命團，由年屆六十的郭誠伯伯創辦，今年十月慶祝40周年紀念。

• 第四位孫兒很健康，四個月大便有18磅。

代禱事項：

• 教會在12月20日舉行聖誕慶祝，像去年一樣，有很多來賓及小孩子參加。但願他們不單只是要來得禮物，而是能夠見到天父賜下愛子並成為永生的禮物給我們。
• 活石堂職員有調動，希望天父能帶來新的開始。
• 托兒所有四位不同程度自閉症的小朋友，願主賜下保母們有忍耐和愛心照顧他們。
• 為淑寶姊妹禱告，她面對未信的丈夫和子女的不和，因她立志不去佛廟。
• 為會友的信心堅定禱告，現在有韓國人李萬熙創立的異端教徒在金邊探訪我們的會友。

親愛的親友，主內兄姊們：

　　主內平安！早前因炸彈事件香港已向前往泰國曼谷的旅客發出紅色旅遊警告，世界各地都有不同的問題發生，只有在神那裡才得著真正的平安！

　　我們在97年2月來柬埔寨宣教時，在金邊市常常可聽到炸彈爆炸和槍聲。那年7月內戰之後，政局穏定，經濟步步向榮。十年前女兒欣義上大學時，教會附近貧民窟的小朋友來參加主日學。她願意從每月津貼中拿美金十元來支持兩兄弟。五年前他們一家人搬進一個新建屋村的一幢排屋，一家人做些生意，現在可去泰國旅遊幾個星期。聽說每天金邊市售賣汽車三百輛，摩托車一千輛，可見柬埔寨經濟已起飛。

　　金邊遊客增多，旅館、酒店、酒樓、按摩院和卡拉OK也跟著增加，特別在皇宮、湄公河河畔、夜市和長程巴士站一帶地方。但小偷也多，五年前金邊設立遊客警察，專為保障遊客安全而設。雖然柬埔寨的政治穩定，經濟起飛，但傳福音給他們卻比以前困難。

　　柬埔寨大學多已年終考試，教會宿舍宿生今年不會回鄉幫忙因為沒有雨水。他們打算在金邊找工作和讀校外課程，如英文或電腦等。今年四月開始，約瑟在男宿舍帶領星期二至五早上6:30-7:00查經禱告聚會，有6位宿生及舍監參加。教會同工於星期二至五早上8:00-9:00晨禱會，每天細讀聖經一章。新光幼稚園下午班學生少，有幾位同工可以參加星期二至五下午2:00-3:00查經班。原來有聖靈才有聖經，有聖經才有聖潔，然後才有聖工。

　　多謝您們在過去的年日中為我們禱告，以下是我們的感恩和禱告事項：

感恩：

1. 大兒子思義和媳婦小鳳得了第二名孩子，是男嬰，叫吳慧，是我們第四名孫。
2. 女兒欣義在金邊一個以舊衣物料改製成時裝的機構找到一份工作，這機構的異象是改善婦女的生計，從而防止人口販賣和淪為娼妓。
3. 主在早上男生宿舍和晚上女生宿舍的讀經禱告聚會賜下每天靈糧。
4. 同工們正在重組已停下來的成年團契。

求恩：

1. 柬埔寨宗教部要求教會每兩年需要申報持牌人，請記念同工們能同心。
2. 我們正在組織青年夫婦團契。
3. 今年宿生有大學畢業並因工作要離開宿舍，請記念他們在新環境中能為主而活。也祈求今年新生能有受教的心。
4. 今年雨水少，求神賜下雨水讓農夫可以耕作。也求神賜下恩雨來復興我們！

Dear Friends and family,

Greetings from Phnom Penh, Cambodia! How are you doing? Hope you have peace despite of the things happening all over the world. It is still fresh for us to remember the bombing in Thailand that Hong Kong government issued a warning for the tourists travelling there. There were people found dead in a truck travelling from the Middle East to East Europe. There has been persecution on Christians from Muslims and Hindus all over the world. As believers we have our hope in Jesus Christ who is our Rock and Shelter.

As we look at this country she seems to enjoy economic growth and prosperity. When we arrived here in February, 1997 we could hear bomb blasting and gun shot in Phnom Penh. That same year in July there was a civil war; after that this country has enjoyed political stability and steady economic growth. In recent years there have been more and more tourists pouring into here. Hotels and guests house, high class restaurants and Cafés are setting up. There is influx of nice and expensive cars; we are told that the number of sale of cars is about 300 and motorcycles is about 1,000 per day. Ten years ago when our daughter, Lydia studied in university in Canada she took $10 each month from her allowance to help two brothers in our children’s Sunday School. About 5 years ago they moved into a house and their sister started to do business. Now they spend time at the malls and take holidays to Thailand which we saw in Facebook.

Even though Cambodia is enjoying political stability and economic growth, the people are harder to reach for Christ. The young people are pursuing higher education and working hard to get into higher economic status. The average people are trying to earn more money and store up more material things. The people in churches are not much different. We need God’s visitation and a revival so that people will turn their hearts to Jesus!

Praises:

1. The morning devotions for men’s dorm and the evening devotions for the ladies are still going on.
2. our local staff is reorganizing the adult fellowship which stopped for some time.
3. our 4th grandchild was born to Simeon and Phung on August 4th. Bethany is happy to have a little brother to play with. His name is Joshua Wei.
4. our daughter, Lydia has started a full time job with a company that uses recycled fabric to make clothing hoping to help some women out of human trafficking.

Prayers:

1. our church has to re-register under the Ministry of Religion and Cults. Please pray for smooth transition.
2. we are still collecting information from the young couples to set up a fellowship for them.
3. this year we have a few dorm students graduated and will leave us. Please pray that they will continue to seek God and live out their faith, and pray for the right ones who will come.
4. please pray for rain especially in the provinces where the people do farming.

親愛的主內兄姊，親友們，

　　您們好！金邊的氣温常在37℃，在烈日之下有40℃的感覺。晚上可降至30℃，比較涼快。通常5月尾便下雨了，今年雨季比較遲，柬埔寨的農作業因缺雨而失收。請為雨水禱告。

　　4月時，約瑟與一位部份時間同工開始了星期二至五早上6:30至7時在男宿舍帶領早禱靈修。原來清晨與主相遇是美好的時刻。我們在4月讀福音書查看作主的門徒，5月我們放年假三星期，有從澳洲來的退休夫婦幫助帶領，丈夫帶他們讀箴言，但願主的話成為我們心中的火。

　　因有會友在星期日早上要工作，我們在3月開始在下午有另一堂崇拜。我們將星期日下午的青年團和祈禱會合併，每堂都以禱告為結束。現在有20人參加，形式比較年青化，有兩位少年人當司琴和鼓手，年資比較少的同工也可帶領聚會，禱告和講道。

　　今年已有兩位以前住大學生宿舍的同學結婚，去年也有一對結婚。有需要開始年青夫婦小組。請為我們能找合適的人手，時間和地點開始這事工。

　　今次放年假時，欣義也能一同去，是三年來我們一家五口能在加拿大團聚。欣義在「東尼」機構工作（東尼是柬文譯音，意思是「河畔」）這機構的理想是【公平交易】，以製造時尚衣物，使婦女在小型工廠中得較高工資來提升她們的身價，因而產生防止販賣人口的效應。在這次旅程中，她帶了一個行李箱的衣物去加拿大展示。結果賣了半箱，那些未賣的要帶回柬埔寨。

樂樂

　　我們三人住在思義和小鳳的家中，我們二人睡在購置給孫兒的雙層床。樂樂現在一歲半，但很會說話和選擇喜歡吃的、外出屋子時穿的鞋子、玩的玩具、洗澡的水溫和晚間上床前要看的故事書。有一次在市場看到玩具便隨手拿來試玩，離開市場時請爺爺幫忙將那玩具放回原位，然後空手回家。小鳳在電郵中說在我們離開他們家後，樂樂每天都問爺爺和嫲嫲在哪裡？但願有一天能與她同唱 「天父常常近我，聽聞我說話，知道我的心和行，工作和玩耍。」

以恩和以信

　　啟義和世敏的兩個兒女都大了很多。以信（男）五歲，九月開始入幼稚園，以恩（女）三歲也會上遊戲中學習的學校。以信喜歡繪圖畫並畫了一幅給我們！

感恩：

1. 我們二人為著身體健康謝恩。約瑟五年前開始服用前列腺藥，上月的檢驗證實可以停藥。
2. 紗歌（SAK）是新光幼稚園部份時間教師，當澳洲來代我們事奉的夫婦向她傳福音時信主。
3. 珍婷，我們傳道的太太，得了未期直腸癌。我們去加拿大之前還可從床上起來，三星期後肚腹和多處有疼痛。最近好了些，可以坐。域碩傳道每天晚餐為她禁食禱告已有五個月，他說要每天禁食晚餐直到神聽他禱告。柬埔寨文化中能有禁食禱告的人是一個恩典。

禱告：

新光幼稚園

1. 柬埔寨需要雨水，更需要恩雨大降。
2. 能開始新婚小組。
3. 新光幼稚園有一位做了五年的老師剛離職去了銀行工作。有一位信主姊妹會在一星期後入職。
4. 六至八月有三隊從香港來的短宣隊，祈求短宣之後能有人來長宣。
5. 願意看見更多禱告勇士。教會計劃在十一月的公眾假期舉行三天禁食禱告行動。

Dear Friends and family,

Greetings from Phnom Penh! The weather has been very hot in Cambodia. With humidity one can feel like 40 C when it is only 37C; during the nights, it is about 30C. Many rice fields and vegetation have not enough rain. We are praying for rain in most part of the country.

In April, Joseph and a local worker started morning devotion at the Men’s dorm on Tuesday to Friday from 6:30 to 7 am. It turns out to be the best time for everybody at the dorm to attend. Our theme in April was on being disciples of Jesus by studying the calling of the 12. A couple came from Australia came to help when we had our annual leave. The husband led them to study the Book of Proverbs. May the word of God come alive in their hearts.

As some of our congregation can’t come to the morning Sunday serviced because of work, we have started the afternoon service in March. It is the combination of the young people group and prayer meeting. There are about 20 attending. It is less formal and teenagers are playing keyboard and the drum. Less experienced co-workers also have a chance to share the message.
There were two weddings of our former dorm students this year. Last year we had one wedding too. We are planning to start a small group for these young couples. Please pray for His leading to find the right time and the right people to start up this new ministry.

Bethany

Lydia, our daughter and two of us took our annual leave to go to Calgary, Canada to visit family for 3 weeks in May. Joe’s mother is 91 years old staying in a nursing home. She is well taken care of in there.

On this visit, we stayed with Simeon, Phung and little Bethany who is one and half. We slept on the bunk bed prepared for Bethany and her sibling who is due in two months. She has started to talk a lot, so cute and smart. Phung e-mailed us saying that Bethany is asking about us everyday.

Jessica & Jacob

The son and daughter of Enoch and Sarah have grown a lot. Jacob will enter kindergarten in September and Jessica will probably begin pre-school this fall. Jacob likes to draw and he drew a picture for Grandpa and Grandma!

Thank you so much for supporting us with your prayers, care and financial support. We are grateful for that! Please continue to praise God and pray for our needs.

Praise:
1. Two of us are in good health: Liza only goes for her check up in 2 years instead of every year. Joseph has been taking prostate medicine to help urine flow 4 and ½ years ago. God healed him and he needs no medicine on the check up in May this year.
2. Sak, a part time teacher of our kindergarten, received Jesus by the ministry of the couple who came to fill our work when we were in annual leave.
3. Chanty, our co-worker’s wife, is in the last stage of colorectal cancer. She felt pains in different parts of her body when we came back from Canada. She seems to have less pain now and is feeling better. Viseth, her husband, fasted during supper time every day for the last few months.

Prayer:
1. We need rain urgently.
2. Right time and right leader for the young couple group.

Sunlight Kindergarten

3. Our kindergarten and nursery need to hire an administrator/teacher. Sophon who had been filling this position in the last 5 years resigned to work in a bank in June. A new teacher will start working in a week.
4. There are three short term teams coming from June to August from Hong Kong. We can use more teams to evangelize Cambodia together.
5. We are planning to have a 3 day fast and prayer retreat in November 15 to 17, a Khmer public holiday.

各位主內弟兄姊妹平安：

　　我們在柬埔寨向您們問安！當我們寫這代禱信時，心中充滿喜樂平安。天父實在好，祂看顧了我們，祂的愛實在長濶高深。祂不單洗去我們的罪，並賜我們豐盛的生命。

　　上次代禱信曾提及我們家前院的芒果樹開始結果，現在已是收成的尾聲。我們與屋主、鄰居及同工們分享這些果子時，深願主的恩典也在他們中間。

　　一月七日教會在絲綢之島舉行水禮和戶外活動，有七人受洗加入教會。其中四位是幼稚園的教師和職員。

　　每主日崇拜後都有青年主日學，約瑟教三元福音佈道。請記念學員能將福音講述清楚。

　　多謝您們的支持，鼓勵和在禱告中記念我們。以下是感恩和求恩的事項：

　　感恩：

1. 三月時有兩位幼稚園老師加入，一位全職，一位半職。
2. 在過去兩個月有兩位19和20歲從丹麥來短宣的年青女士幫忙於幼稚園教學。她們二人充滿活力、創意，又幫助教師預備教材。
3. 三月頭有兩位退休老師來幫助我們，她們來了幾天但有很好的提議給幼稚園。
4. 有一位從香港來的老師來了一個月協助教學和老師訓練。
5. 四月五日在金邊有眾教會聯合舉辧主復活的大型聚會，柬埔寨教會能團結起來向柬埔寨政府官員、宗教部、佛教和伊斯蘭教領袖見証主已復活了。
6. 我們大兒子思義與太太小鳳會在八月時作第二任父母。

　　祈禱事項：

1. 珍婷，我們傳道的太太能完全康復。她患上結腸癌，二月二日開始昏迷了三天，醒來後視力無法集中。今天已可跟別人談話，可以坐起來，但未有胃口，未能下床。
2. 為我們團隊建立，能成為合主用的器皿。
3. 為教會的敬拜能進入心靈誠實的新領域。
4. 為兩位新老師能信主。
5. 為四月十四至十六日柬埔寨新年禱告，願居民能在歡樂中有平安。過往的新年都多有交通意外和醉酒生事。
6. 為幼兒院的小朋友和幼稚園的學生，近幾星期多有患上麻疹和流行性腮腺炎。

　　謝謝您們的代禱！願主復活的大能叫我們心中的力量如火挑旺，祝復活節快樂！

Cambodia – Prayer Letter #40 (2015/3)

Dear Friends and family,

Greetings from Cambodia! As we are writing this letter, our hearts are full of praises and thanksgiving. God is good all the time! He loves and cares for us all the time. And our Lord is alive and we have victory over Satan and sin!!

In our last letter, we mentioned about the mangoes on the trees of our rented house. We’ve harvested most of them already; we shared with our landlord, neighbors, friends and staff. It is so great to share!! Pray that we will have opportunity to share more about Jesus.

On January 7, our church had our baptismal service in Silk Island. Seven got baptized. Four of them are staff of our school resulting from daily devotion.

During adult Sunday school, Joe is teaching Evangelism Equipping (formally Evangelism Explosion). We pray and hope that many fruit will result from this class.

Thank you so much to be part of our ministry by caring, giving and most importantly by prayer. Please continue to praise God with us and pray for our needs.

Praise items:

1. Starting in March we have two new teachers in our school, one full time and one part time.
2. For February and March, we have 2 Danish ladies helping in our school. They are 19 and 20 years old – full of energy and creativity.
3. In the beginning of March, we had 2 retired teachers from Hong Kong helping us for a few days. Another teacher from Hong Kong too helps us for the whole month of March. We learned so much from them.
4. There will be a joint Easter celebration on 5^th April in the Diamond Island Theater. This will be a big event; we also invite the government officials, Buddhist and Islamic leaders in order to testify our Lord has risen from the death.
5. Simeon, our eldest, and Phung are expecting their second child in August.

Prayer items:

1. That Chanty, our local pastor’s wife will be fully healed. She has 4 stage cancer and went into a coma a month ago. Now she is able to sit up for a while but weak and bed ridden.
2. For love and unity of our staff.
3. For our church worship team that they have a thirst to seek God in a deeper and new way.
4. For the salvation of our two new teachers.
5. For the Khmer New Year on April 14-16 that there will be less accidents due to fighting or drunkenness.
6. For our students and toddlers in our nursery– there are viruses of measles and mumps in recent weeks.
