親愛的代禱夥伴：

　　這個月份比較繁忙但充滿驚喜，看見許多神奇妙的作為。

　　感謝主的保守及引領，我們三月上旬往南非西北的鄰國奈米比亞(Namibia)作事工探索有良好的結果。我們去到華人集中的首都溫得和克(Windhoek)和極北邊鄰近安哥拉(Angola)的邊境小鎮奥希康戈(Oshikango)，也去到西岸港口城市威比斯灣(Walvis Bay)和路途中經過的各小城。我們在大型的批發城中派發中信、與華人交談，得知大約有一萬多華人在奈米比亞生活。他們大多集中生活在倉庫區的批發城及商店中。奈米比亞的治安良好，因此華商年年加增，因為鄰國石油豐富的安哥拉的需求為他們提供了良好的商機。邊境小鎮奥希康戈有三座華人批發城和數百家的華人商店。首都溫得和克的三座華人商城規模較大。在奈米比亞有不同華人的宗教、異教及異端，但是没有華人機構和宣教士在那裡傳福音，全國華人基督徒恐怕不超過五十人。在我們離開前的幾個小時，就在我們住宿的旅館，神奇妙的引領我們遇到一位熱心傳福音的基督徒，他願意為福音工作提供聚會及住宿的場所，他也正在尋找傳道人到奈米比亞傳福音。我見到他，我很驚訝；他見到我，他更驚訝！他沒想到神會帶領一個牧師到他面前來；好像神替我們安排了面談一般！奈米比亞是一個立即可開拓的福音禾場。若神許可，我們將往奈米比亞短宣及作更長時間的停留，以便規劃將來福音事工的準備工作。

　　從奈米比亞回到南非隔了一天，一早教會的黄姊妹發微信告知大家她的二哥在早上去開店時失踪了，請大家為他的安全代禱。後來沒多久，證實是被綁票，大家更熱切為他的安全祈禱。因為對方要求巨款的贖金，她們全家頓時落入愁雲慘霧之中。黃姊妹已經為她的二哥二嫂願意信主禱告多年，下午她去找她二嫂，要她全心相信，因為只有真神才能保守二哥平安。她們一起跪在神面前祈禱，她二嫂答應神只要丈夫平安回來她要信耶穌。一個小時後她二哥竟然來電話報平安！原來負責看守他的兩個綁匪竟然吸完毒後睡著了，他逃出來翻了兩座山才脫險；他又遇到好心人停車並載他回到城鎮中的派出所報案。感謝主的恩待，使他脫險！第二天一早我們就趕往二百公里外的小鎮帶領黄姊妹二嫂作決志禱告並且宣告脫離偶像。她的二哥也答應要信耶穌。

　　為傳福音我們曾經在德班的新華批發商城設立福音中心，後來因商城搬遷我們就將福音中心關閉，德班教會晚堂崇拜在去年底也因為安全問題而暫停。我們已經為可以再一次回到批發城禱告許久，也一直祈求希望能再為白天開店的華人開崇拜聚會。最近得知新落成的新華商城在六、七樓的公寓住宅區已經開始入伙了，我們便與商城房東聯絡，得到他的同意，我們可以租用並且可以聚會。現在已租得一個兩房一廳的單位。客廳可做崇拜及小組聚會之用；一個臥房住人，另一臥房做辨公及會客用。五月就可以搬進去了，感謝主！

　　請您為以下的事項代禱：

1. 感謝神，2015年底教會營會所需要的場地已經租到了。
2. 感謝神的引領讓我們認識到奈米比亞熱心的基督徒。請為奈米比亞的事工前景代禱。
3. 請為我們規劃使用在新華商城的聚會地點代禱，求主賜智慧去安排服事在那開店及居住的人。
4. 為黄姊妹二嫂信心堅定不移、二哥早日決志代禱。
5. 請繼續為教會裡的慕道友吳女士、許教授和梁先生夫婦信主代禱，求主的聖靈在他們心中動工，軟化他們的心得以早日認識真道。
6. 感謝主我們下一週會在海瑞斯密斯鎮(Harrismith)聚會。請為這個月我們去聚會的安排及來參加聚會的弟兄姐妹代禱。
7. 請繼續為我們出外往各地事工的安全及行車的安全代禱。

South Africa Prayer letter ( 3/2015 )

Dear Prayer Partners,

This month has been busy but full of surprises, experiencing the handiwork of our amazing God!

By the Lord’s leading, our exploration trip in early March to Namibia (northwest of South Africa) was very fruitful.  We visited the capital city Windhoek and the border town (with Angola) Oshikango.  Most of the Chinese are concentrated in these two cities.  We also visited the harbor city Walvis Bay and other small towns along the way.  We distributed Chinese Christian materials in the Chinese wholesale cities and talked to some of the Chinese there.  There are over 10,000 Chinese in all Namibia; most of them live in or around the wholesale cities.  As the country is relatively safe and a lot of businessmen come from the oil-rich Angola to purchase merchandise, more and more Chinese are coming into Namibia.  There are three Chinese wholesale cities in Oshikango as well as hundreds of retail stores.  There are also three Chinese wholesale cities in Windhoek but bigger.  There are different Chinese religions and cults, but there is no Chinese missionary yet; the number of Chinese Christians in all Namibia probably will not exceed 50.  On our last day in Namibia when we were checking out at our lodge, the Lord amazingly led us to meet one of the few Chinese Christians there.  He is burdened with the gospel, and he is ready to support the outreach by providing a meeting place and accommodation for the minister.  Actually, he and his family are trying to find a minister to come to Namibia.  We were surprised to see him; and he was even more surprised to see us.  He would never dream of God actually leading a pastor to show up in front of him; it’s like God had made the appointment for us!  Namibia is a ready harvest field.  Lord’s willing, we will start with short-term missions and then visits with longer stays to prepare for the ground works of this new mission field.

Two days after we returned from Namibia, Sister Huang informed everyone in the church through WeChat to pray for her brother-in-law who was missing on his way to work.  A few hours later, they received a call from his kidnappers demanding a huge ransom; everyone was in a state of panic and hopelessness.  Sister Huang has been praying for his and his wife’s salvation for years.  She traveled to their town with other relatives to comfort her sister-in-law.  Sister Huang asked her to trust God and told her that only the true God can deliver her husband.  They got on their knees and prayed, and her sister-in-law made a promise to believe in Jesus if her husband could return home safely.  One hour later, her husband called home and told her that he was okay!  What happened was that two of the kidnappers that were left behind to guard him somehow decided to do drugs, but then they felt sound asleep.  He was able to escape.  After climbing out of the forest and going through two hills, he found a road and got someone willing to stop his car to take him to the police.  Praise the Lord for His unbelievable deliverance!  The next morning, we drove to their town (about 200 km from Durban) and led Sister Huang’s sister-in-law to receive Christ as her personal savior and proclaimed her breakaway from her idols.  Her husband is also willing to trust in Jesus.

We used to have a gospel center in one of Durban’s wholesale cities.  It ended when the building was closed while a new building was being built.  In addition, our Sunday evening service was also suspended by the end of last year when safety became a real concern.  We have been praying for a way to come back to the wholesale city and also to restart the worship service for those store owners who work seven days a week.  Lately we found out that new tenants are beginning to move into the new wholesale building’s residential floors.  We went to inquire with the owner and got his consensus to rent one of the units to us; he also agreed to let us have worship services and Bible study meetings at the unit.  So it is official:  we will be moving into a two-bedroom apartment on the 6^th floor of the new Chinese wholesale building.  We will be using the living and dining area as our meeting place; the second bedroom will be our office/conference/guest room.  We will be moving in by May.  Praise the Lord!

Prayer Requests:

1. Please give thanks for securing a venue for our yearend family retreat.
2. Please give thanks for God’s marvelous leading in Namibia; please pray for this new mission field.
3. Please pray for wisdom so we know how to plan to serve the shop owners and tenants at the Chinese wholesale building.
4. Please pray for Sister Huang’s sister-in-law’s faith and her brother-in-law’s acceptance of Christ.
5. Please pray for the seekers: Wu, Professor Hsu and Mr. and Mrs. Leong.  May the Holy Spirit continue to work in their hearts to lead them into the truth.
6. Please pray for our meeting in Harrismith next week, both our travel and those who will attend the meeting.
7. Please continue to pray for our safety as we travel to different cities and towns.

　　『妳們總是用各種手段，希望移民來南非 ， 請妳以後不要再聯絡領事館，因為妳是不可能拿到南非工作簽證! 』自從2014年8月25日開始，秀雲被迫返回瑞士重新申請南非工作簽證。經過4個多月的準備，收集所有需要的文件，然後在一月初，希望預約時間，把申請表和文件遞交到駐瑞士的南非領事館。怎知從電話來的回覆，竟然是如此決絕，毫無原因便把秀雲拒於門外。我和以信在南非聽到這個消息，當時整個心都涼了半截，怎可能！不公平！ 我們花了幾個月，已經按著南非內政部的要求，從美國、瑞士和南非收集所有文件，現在竟得到這樣的回覆，我們全家都非常失望沮喪。在無計可施之下，我們只好向上帝呼求，如果是你要我們留下在南非宣教，請你讓秀雲拿到工作簽證，好讓南非的華人，認識你是全能的真神。經過三天的禱告，秀雲鼓起勇氣，再次聯絡駐瑞士的南非領事館。感謝神！祂聽我們的祈求，秀雲不但能夠順利預約到日期，並且在2個星期之後，南非領事館批了5年的工作證給她，我們全家只有感恩！有人靠車，有人靠馬，但我們要提到耶和華我們神的名。上帝是從不誤事，我們依靠祂，祂便為我們開路。

　　南非內政部從2014年6月開始，為了要打擊非法居民用假身份和假居留證在南非工作和定居。於是立例要在工作證限期之前，持有人必須要返回原居地重新申請。內政部並且在2015年開始，在餐館、中國商店和超市，拘捕沒有合法居留的人，並且實行即捕即遞解出境。現在南非有很多華人，不敢出門，他們認為做生意已經艱苦，再加上內政部的行動，如果情況沒有改變，他們會考慮離開南非。教會也有信徒，因為工作簽證限期已到，被迫返回中國。請為南非的華人祈禱，我們常常勸導信徒，不要做違法的事情，雖然內政部這一次的行動，為華人添上不少麻煩，但起因都是他們先違反南非的法律，才有今天的結果。我們有一些朋友，願意聽取意見，離開南非；但也有一些華人，他們情願冒著被拘捕的危險，也要留在南非。我們祈求神施恩典和憐憫，給我們的同胞有一顆悔改的心，使他們凡事願意遵守法律；求神幫助申請工作證的華人，能夠順利拿到簽證；最後祈求神讓南非政府，能夠以公正的態度執行紀律，不要趁機欺侮華人。

　　教會已經在今年開辦中國城的查經聚會，家齊預備了10堂的真理課題，並且讓信徒領袖帶領其中2堂課題。感謝神，有8位華人參加，大家都能夠在聚會裡分享討論，我們祈求神賜福，使更多在中國城的華人能參加查經。家齊將會在崇拜聚會，分享以西結書，他希望在這幾個月裡面，在信息中鼓勵信徒靈命復興。求神賜家齊屬靈的智慧，能夠把神的信息帶進信徒的生命。教會最近有信徒離開，參加另外一間教會的聚會；同時也有幾位信徒，從別的教會來參加我們的崇拜。請為開普頓的信徒祈禱，我們祈求他們能夠在固定的教會成長。

中華福音使命團香港區主辦，40周年四洲短宣之南非短宣體驗團：2015年3月5-17日（13天）

親愛的代禱夥伴：

　　大家新年好！感谢主，聖誕節崇拜有七十多人從各地來參加，附近城鎮的弟兄姐妹一起來獻詩歌並有見證分享。一位姊妹分享到她去年因為癌症動了手術和在化療的全程中經歷神奇妙的恩典。她沒有因為癌症而失去信心，在國內治療的過程中遇見許多信主的醫護人員和病人，大家都彼此代禱及鼓勵，甚至在化療室中病人們一起禱告交托。化療時她能吃能喝，體重還增加了！她感謝神的恩典。她說神實在太奇妙了！另一位從約翰尼斯堡來的弟兄分享他從小在信主的家庭長大但沒有真正悔改，生活一直是我行我素。他抱著去玩玩的心態去參加去年教會的營會，但是在營會的最後一天，他的心被一首詩歌的歌詞所抓住，於是他就立志悔改，痛改前非，做一個真正的基督徒。這一年他將他的五毒（賭、毒、煙、酒、嫖）都戒了。他的朋友還試探他，因為不相信他的改變。他現在經常為主作見證。這次他特別自費來德班為主作見證。聖誕的真義是罪人能得赦，得享神的恩典。他們的見證是聖誕節最好的註解。崇拜後大家共享佳餚，因為平常大家不能常見面，聖誕的聚會好像回家團圓一般，在異地他鄉相聚倍感溫暖。

　　因為南非的工廠在年底時都會停工數週，所以我們就選在十二月廿六至廿八日舉辦家庭營會，為方便開商店的弟兄姊妹及朋友們參加。感謝主，今年有七十一人從五個城市來參加。今年的營會仍然有中文成人、英語青年及兒童福音三個部份。今年主題是<新造的人>。另外有兩堂專題講座<全人委身的婚姻>。感謝主，今年營會中有五位信主，請為他們在主裡繼續成長代禱。

　　微信（WeChat）隨著智慧型手機的普遍，已成為在南非華人通訊的主要平台。在聊天群裡弟兄姊妹一起唱讚美詩、禱告、交通、分享。我們也在微信的聊天群裡查經及開禱告會。從這個月開始克達每個主日晚上七點半在一個聊天群裡教聖經課訓練聊天群的領袖，他們都在其它的群中帶領及照顧信徒。目前有三十五人參加，大家都很認真學習。請為這個事工代禱，求主使用這個事工造就南非更多信徒。

請您為以下的事項代禱：

1. 請繼續為教會中最近來聚會的鍾弟兄夫婦生命的成長代禱，他們信主雖久但是一直沒有聚會，最近他們才固定來參加聚會。
2. 請繼續為慕道友吳女士信主代禱，她現在固定的來參加查經聚會。求主使用查經聚會幫助她認識真道。
3. 感謝主我們開始在海瑞斯密斯（Harrismith）鎮聚會，請為那裡事工的安排及來參加聚會的弟兄姊妹在主裡繼續成長代禱。
4. 請為微信的領袖訓練課程代禱。

South Africa Prayer letter ( 1/2015 )

Dear Prayer Partners

Happy New Year!  Praise the Lord, our Christmas Worship Service was attended by over 70 people.  Brothers and sisters from different cities and towns joined us in praising and sharing of testimonies.  One of our sisters shared her gratefulness for God’s grace during her chemo therapy treatment for her breast cancer.  She went back to China for her operation; and she was surprised that during her hospital stay, she had never met so many Christian doctors and nurses before in her life.  The amazing thing was that every time she went in for her chemo, almost all the other ladies in her room were Christians; they were able to pray for each other and encourage each other.  In addition, she maintained a good appetite during the whole ordeal and even gained weight!  God’s grace is truly abundant and over and beyond what she had hoped for!  Another brother from Johannesburg shared that even though he grew up in a Christian family, he ignored God’s salvation and went his own way.  Last year he came to our family camp just to have fun; but at the last meeting, one of the hymns deeply touched him, and he repented and decided to follow Jesus.  This past year, he got rid of all of his addictions (gambling, drinking, smoking, drug and immorality).  His friends even tried to tempt him because they did not believe that he could really change.  Now he uses every opportunity to share his testimony and the grace of God.  This year, he spent his own money to fly down to Durban because he wanted more people to know the Lord.  The true meaning of Christmas is “salvation coming all men, and grace to all.”  Their testimonies are the best illustrations of this truth!  After the service, we all enjoyed a wonderful feast and warm fellowship.

Because all the factories would be closed during the Christmas and New Year holiday, we held our family camp at the end of the year.  As the shops would also be closed after Christmas, our camp this year ran from the 26^th to the 28^th of December.  Praise the Lord, this year we had 71 people coming from five different cities.  There were separate programs for Chinese adults, youth and children.  This year’s theme was “New Creation in Christ,” and there were two workshops on “The Full Commitment of Marriage.”  We thank the Lord for five new Christians!  Please pray for them that they will continue to grow in His love and grace.

As the popularity of smart phones grows, WeChat has become THE communication platform for the Chinese in South Africa.  In many of the Christian chat groups, they praise, share and pray together.  We also make use of these chat groups to hold Bible studies and prayer meetings.  Starting from January, every Sunday evening, Ko-Ta will be teaching the discipleship and leadership series to some of the chat group leaders who are currently leading these chat groups.  Currently, 35 people have joined this leadership group, and they are deeply devoted and earnest in their study.  Please pray for this new wave of Christian leaders.

Please pray:

1. For the spiritual growth of the Chung couple who started to come to our meetings regularly—they have been Christians for a long time but have not been close to the Lord.
2. For Ms. Wu who has been coming to our Bible study lately. May the Bible study help her to know the Lord.
3. For the new monthly meetings in Harrismith that it will bear fruit and Christian’s faith will be strengthened.
4. For the leadership training on WeChat that many Christians will be equipped to be laborers in this harvest field.
5. For our safety as we travel to different cities and towns.
