可敬的阿姨和叔叔：

        讚美神！致所有在基督裡讀到這封信的弟兄姊妹，感謝你們所有人的祈禱和支援。何等喜樂能為上帝而活，並看到祂在我們生命中的工作。

        自從來到布裡斯托爾以來，我一直在祈禱，希望能夠找到愛耶穌的群體和朋友，並能自豪地在這個嘲笑上帝、缺乏基督的社會和文化中，為祂站立。一年多以來，我須學習忍耐及相信上帝的時機；儘管我感到孤獨，對比那建基在耶穌裡彼此相愛的關係，我感到大部份基督以外的社群及所建立的關係都不真實及流於表面裡。

        很感恩，在過去的幾個月裡，神一直帶領我在教會裡遇到很多的弟兄姊妹。我們建立以基督為中心的友誼，一起禱告和閱讀神的話語，啟發和磨礪彼此的信心，向彼此負責，一起慶祝在主內的喜樂，真是太美妙了！特別是在這個拒絕耶穌、追求自以為義的社會中，我身邊有紮根於福音、不以福音為恥的朋輩，真是令人鼓舞。

        這邊的學習也進展順利，儘管現在還有很多事情要做。這學年完結前（六月）在接下來的幾週裡，我有五份要提交的功課和一份演講，請在禱告中記念我能順利完成，多謝。

        再次感謝大家為我祈禱和支援我。上帝保佑你們！

To all the lovely aunties and uncles:

        Praise God! To all the brothers and sisters in Christ reading this letter, thank you all for your prayers and support. It is such a joy to live for God and to see him working in our lives.

        Ever since coming to Bristol, I’ve been praying to be able to find a community and friends who love Jesus and are proud to stand for him in this society and culture that mocks God and is so devoid of Christ. For more than a year I’ve had to learn to be patient and trust in God’s timing despite feeling lonely and feeling that much of society and the relationships formed outside of Christ feel insubstantial and lack the depth that can only be found in having a mutual love for Jesus.

        Grateful to say that in the past few months, God has been leading me to meet more brothers and sisters at church. It is so wonderful to formulate friendships that are centered on Christ, to pray and read the Word together, to edify and sharpen each other’s faith, to keep each other accountable, and just to celebrate the joy of the Lord together! Especially in this society that rejects Jesus and seeks self-righteousness, it is beyond encouraging to have peers around me who are rooted and are unashamed of the gospel.

        Studies are going well too, even though there’s so much to do now. I have five end of year submissions and a presentation over the next few weeks, so I would appreciate prayer that they may go well.
