親愛的親友，主內弟兄姊妹們：

我們在主耶穌的名中向您們問安。柬埔寨的亡人節剛過去，這節期是從9月18日至10月2日，共15天。柬埔寨人在這日子中要拿食物去至少七間廟供奉和尚，他們相信祖先的亡魂會因而在陰間得到供奉。「此等不信之人被這世界的神弄瞎了心眼」（林後4：4）。請記念他們的心眼能被耶穌的真光照明和打開，從迷信的文化和習俗中出來並接受真道。在這節期中，信徒和教會領袖回鄉探親時都受不同程度的壓力，向這習俗低頭。請記念他們能在壓力中成長和成為福音的真光，

請與我們一同讚美和祈求祂。謝謝！

讚美事項：

• 亡人節中回鄉探親的人多，車來人往，天父保守了會友們在回鄉路程上平安渡過。
• 7月底有機會跟母會的會友同去聖地，這旅程叫我們更能體會天父話語的實在和寶貴。祂的救贖計劃是從永遠到永遠的。
• 在這節期中，有我們差會的一位宣教士來探我們。我們有交通、分享經文和禱告，像一個小型退修會。我們會加多與教會會友查考聖經。
• 幼稚園的小朋友們已增至40多位而托兒所有35位幼兒，因此學校可以自負盈虧。

禱告事項：

• 10月17至23日有短宣隊從香港來，請記念我們的合作事奉能榮耀天父。
• 婚前輔導有四人參加，一對打算在12月結婚，另一對是已婚兩年多但從未接受過輔導的。願主祝福他們能在夫婦關係上建立蒙福的家庭。
• 教會漏水需要維修，請記念能盡快找到漏水原因。
• 大兒子思義携同兒媳小鳳，兩位孫兒同去新西蘭參加<父親的心腸>（Father’s heart）的研習班三個月。記念他們二人在學習中成長，在家中實踐天父的愛和心思意念。
• 幼稚園需要一位全時間英文老師，求主為我們預備一位對幼兒教育有經驗的老師。
• 活石堂仍未有全時間傳道，求主帶領我們能尋找一位合祂心意的傳道。
• 約瑟在10月底再開始在金邊聖經學院教一科目，求聖靈在學生和老師中作引導帶領。
• 為女大學生宿舍在2016-17學年有入讀大學第一年的新生入住宿舍禱告。

Dear friends and family,

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. In Cambodia we just celebrated Pchum Ben festival; it lasts for 15 days from September 18th to October 2nd. The Cambodians believe that during this time the spirits of their ancestors are released to look for food in this human world. So they go to at least 7 temples to offer food to the monks so that their ancestors can be filled. It seems nonsense to us but they are blinded. “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 4:4). Let us pray that the Cambodians will open their minds that they will turn to trust the Creator God who is the only true God who can hear and watch over them. They will be free from the bondage of their culture and custom which are used by Satan to bind them in darkness. Also pray for the Christians especially for the leaders that they will be light to this dark world. Because of idolatry which make them unfaithful to God and then causes adultery among them.

Please continue to give thanks to God and pray for us, thank you.

Praise items:

• We went to the Holy Land with the members of our mother’s church at the end of July. It makes more sense to us when we read God’s word. Also we see how God’s promises have been fulfilled so we can trust His word more.
• During the holiday another missionary from our mission came to visit us. We read God’s word together and she prayed for us. We are encouraged to start more Bible classes to teach our members.
• We have more children at our school, 40 plus students and about 35 toddlers at our nursery.

Prayer items:

• There will be a short term mission team from Hong Kong on October 17 to 23. Please pray that we will work together to bring glory to God.
• Pray for the premarital study for 2 couples and other new Bible studies that the members’ lives will be changed through His word.
• Pray for wisdom for worker who looks for problem why one of the rooms is leaking water at church.
• Simeon, our oldest son and family are now in a remote island in New Zealand attending the Father’s heart Seminar. Please pray that they learn more about God’s heart.
• We are still looking for a full time English teacher at our school.
• Joseph will teach again at Phnom Penh Bible School at the end of this month. Please pray that the Holy Spirit works among the teacher and students.
• Pray that God will bring a right person at the right time to come serve as the pastor in charge at our church.
